Registration Open for School Bus Orientation Program
The CBE offers a school bus orientation program for first-time riders and their parents, called My 1st Ride.
The session is free but families must register in advance. Spots are limited and are on a first-come, first-served basis.
The program consists of a 20-minute presentation and a drama presentation followed by a short ride on a school bus. After the bus ride, students are invited back to the school gym to visit the service provider's booths.
Each new rider will also be given a certificate of completion. The sessions run every half hour between 9 AM and 3 PM. Each session will take approximately 1 hour.
Staff from CBE Transportation, Calgary Catholic School District, Southland Transportation, First Student and other transportation providers are available for information and/or questions.
