Dear OSG Families, 

FORMS OVERDUE 

Thank you to all families that have now completed the required annual forms. 

If you have not yet completed your online annual forms in your My CBE account, they are now overdue and this request is now URGENT.  

These forms are a legal requirement from Alberta Education for funding purposes. If your form remains incomplete, your child’s education may no longer be funded by Alberta Education.  

To complete these forms, you need to log into your MyCBE account. This is the same account that you use to pay fees, view academic information, book school conferences and more.  

If you do not have a MyCBE account, on the MyCBE page click on Create a MyCBE Account. For online help refer, to MyCBE - Creating an Account (includes instructions and a video). 

To complete these forms:  

1 | sign in to your MyCBE account 

2 | click on the SchoolEngage icon or the Online Forms and School Registration (yellow) tile 

3 | select the form 

4 | complete or review and update the form 

5 | click on Submit to send the form electronically to the school  

6 | repeat steps 3-5 for each form 

These forms are mandatory every year for Alberta Education to confirm student funding.  

If you have any other students with the Calgary Board of Education, you may proceed with completing their forms too. 

Lunch Supervision Fee 

This is a reminder that all students in Grades 1 – 6 who eat their lunch at school are charged a Lunch Supervision Fee of $305 annually ($30.50 monthly). Please ensure that you register your child for this service by logging in to your MyCBE account and clicking on the Fees, Waivers, and Service Registration (green) tile.  

Fees will be requested from the CBE soon. Income tax receipts are issued for Lunch Supervision Fees that may be included as child care expenses for income tax purposes. 

School Council/Parent Association: WE NEED YOUR HELP!  

Our next School Council and Parent Association meetings are tomorrow, Monday, October 7 at 6:00-7:00 PM.  

This will be the Annual General Meeting where the executive member positions are filled for the year. We currently do not have a Chair-person or Vice Chair-person for the School Council and Parent Association and we are in GREAT NEED of volunteers to fill these positions.  

Without a Chair-person, we cannot do fundraising activities to purchase much needed resources for the school.  In past years, our Parent Association has generously donated funds to help with the cost of field trips.  

**Without a Chair-person to support with fundraising activities, field trip costs will be double or triple what they have been in the past.   

Please consider volunteering for School Council and Parent Association to help us make O. S. Geiger School the best school possible for your children! Being involved with these groups is a great way to connect with an amazing group of parents and the school community.
