Dear OSG Families,

We hope you had a wonderful, long weekend. It was wonderful to see so many families at the Open House. We can’t thank you enough for the support you show us at the school. We are so lucky to have such a supportive community!

As the weather is getting chillier, please be sure students come to school with warmer jackets with hats and mitts as needed! Students often see the sunshine and expect the temperature to be warmer than it is. Please check before your child leaves for school in the morning to be sure that they have more than a hoodie for these cold mornings.

Commitment to Truth and Reconciliation

At O.S. Geiger School, we acknowledge and support the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada’s (TRC) Calls to Action, and have made the following commitment to action for the 2024-2025 school year:

Heart - To Belong: We will build and apply an understanding of Indigenous community values such as reciprocity and respect, and how these are lived in relationships with Indigenous students, families, Elders, community members, and the land.

As a school community, we will be focused on learning in a variety of ways this year in support of this commitment to action. You will be hearing a lot about the values of Respect, Reciprocity and Responsibility throughout the year and how we are focused on these values toward ourselves, others, our school and the land.
