Dear OSG Families, 

We are excited to meet all families at Student Learning Conferences this week on Thursday and Friday!  

You are now able to book a time block for Learning Conferences here.  

Each time block is 15 minutes long. This will be for an individual conference with your child’s teacher at the school.  

To sign up for a conference time, you will need to log into your MyCBE account and choose the teacher that you would like to meet with.  

The Conference days and times are:  

Thursday, November 28   

Kindergarten: 8:00 AM-7:30 PM **NO SCHOOL FOR KINDERGARTEN on this day  

Grades 1-6: 3:30 PM-7:30 PM **This is a regular school day for students in grades 1-6  

Friday, November 29  

Kindergarten-Grade 6: 8:00 AM-1:00 PM **NO SCHOOL FOR ALL STUDENTS on this day  

Families of students in EES will be contacted by their teacher to book a meeting time. 

Fun Lunch Reminder 

Our next 2 Fun Lunch dates are: 

December 4 – Coco Brooks pizza *orders due by 11:59 PM on Friday, November 29 

January 16 – Subway *orders due by 11:59 PM on January 11 

You will need to visit the Healthy Hunger website here to place your order:  Healthy Hunger 

To create a Healthy Hunger account, please follow the steps in this Healthy Hunger Order Guide . If you had a healthy hunger account last year, you will need to re-add your child(ren) to your account. 

Parking 

Please remember there is NO PARKING in the street in front of the school. This space is designated for busses both BEFORE and AFTER school. Please park closer to the playground, outside the bus zone. If you park on the street across from the school, students must use the crosswalks to cross safely. As the roads are becoming snowy and icy, it can be very hard for cars to stop quickly. 

Also note that DROPPING OFF STUDENTS IN THE PARKING LOT IS PROHIBITED. 

Dress For the Weather 

Now that the winter weather has officially come, please be sure that students are coming to school dressed for the cold, including a warm jacket, snowpants, boots, a hat and mittens or gloves. Unless the temperature with the wind chill is –20 Celcius or colder, students will be going outside to play every day.
