Dear OSG Families, 

We had an amazing week learning from Chantal Chagnon, Indigenous Knowledge Keeper, during her week-long residency. Through her storytelling and the drum experiences she led with students and staff, we grew our knowledge and understanding of Indigenous ways of knowing and doing and had a lot of fun!

Report Cards Available On Monday 

Families can view, download or print online report cards for kindergarten to Grade 12 students on Monday, Jan. 27 until May 30, 2025 through MyCBE. Please use this link for more information. 

Family Literacy Week 

This week is Family Literacy Week! The Calgary Board of Education will celebrate Family Literacy week from January 26th to February 2nd to raise awareness about the importance of reading and engaging in other literacy-related activities as a family. The theme of this year's Literacy Week is Learn to Be Green – Together, emphasizing the importance of nurturing both our planet and our community. Fun Lunch

Our next Fun Lunch organized by our amazing School Council will be on Wednesday, Feb. 19. This will be for Cedar's Deli. You will need to visit the Healthy Hunger website to place your order by Feb 14:  Healthy Hunger

Kindergarten Registration 

If you have a child that will be 5 years old on or before December 31, 2025, they are eligible to register and attend kindergarten in September 2025. Please register them as soon as possible to help us prepare for the 2025-26 school year. Our Kindergarten Registration Guide can help answer many of your questions, such as:
