Dear OSG Families, 

We hope you are staying warm with family, on this Family Day long weekend. We are at the mid-point of this school year and students and staff are working diligently to achieve the outcomes and actions detailed in our School Development Plan, to close achievement gaps in reading and mathematics. Be sure to read the weekly messages emailed each week from your child’s teacher to learn what students are learning about each week as well as find to links to reading and other activities you can access at home to support your child in their learning. 

The Canadian Children’s Book Centre   

The TD Grade One Book Giveaway program provides a free Canadian picture book to all Grade 1 students across Canada. Our grade one students are receiving their books this week. Thank you TD for the awesome book. 

Child Care Tax Receipts 

Child Care Tax Receipts for CBE lunch supervision from January 2024 to December 2024 will be available by February 28, 2025. To access your receipt, simply log in to your MyCBE parent account and navigate to Student Fees & Service Registrations > Receipts. Tax receipts will not be mailed out and will be available online only. 

Lunches & Snacks 

At O. S. Geiger School, we are committed to providing food supports for families as needed. Recently, we have noticed that more students are asking for additional food at lunchtime and snack times due to not bringing enough food. Please ensure that your child is sent to school with lunch and snacks as we have a limited supply of emergency lunches and snacks. If your family requires extra support with lunches please contact the office or your child's teachher, so that we may assist you!
