Dear OSG Families,

We wish a very Happy Easter to all families that celebrate today! Please read on for some important updates.

School Council on Monday

Our next School Council meeting is Monday, April 6 at 6:00 PM. You can join us in person at the school or online by using this link: Meeting Link

Please note that this meeting is with the School Council Executive, other parents and guardians and school administration. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn what is happening in classrooms and around the school and provide your feedback about how to make our school better. We would love to see you there!

Indoor Shoes

Please ensure that your child continues to come to school in a different pair of shoes than they wear at school. More dirt and debris is being tracked into the school now that the weather has warmed up and when students do not change into their indoor shoes. Indoor shoes are meant to remain at school. Our Facility Operator and cleaning team thank you very much!

Kindergarten Registration for 2026-2027

As we plan for next year, please ensure that you register your child for kindergarten as soon as possible. Please share this message with anyone you know who has a kindergarten student who has not yet registered!

Visit www.cbe.ab.ca/kindergarten to learn more about when your child can begin kindergarten and how to register for the 2026-2027 school year. Registrations are now completed online at: https://cbe.ab.ca/registration/registration/Pages/new-students.aspx

Planning for the 2026-2027 School Year

It is hard to believe, but we are already well underway planning for the 2026-2027 school year!

-If your child will be attending O. S, Geiger School next year, you do not need to do anything as your child’s enrollment will automatically continue.

**If your child will be in gr. K-6 next year and will NOT be attending O. S. Geiger School next year, please respond to this email as soon as possible, if you have already done so, to let us know where your child will be attending school next year.

-If your child is in grade 6 THIS year in our regular program and you live in Castleridge or Cornerstone, you do not need to do anything as your child will automatically be registered at the designated Junior High:

Gr. 6 Castleridge students will be enrolled at Terry Fox.

Gr. 6 Cornerstone students will be enrolled at EITHER Terry Fox or Ian Bazalgette (you should have received notification about the lottery designations).

-If your grade 6 child will be moving out of Castleridge or Cornerstone before the start of the 2026-27 school year, please notify the main office and we can support
