Dear OSG Families, 

We are so proud of our grade 3 and EES classes for hosting a Celebration of Learning assembly on Friday morning. They shared the learning they have been focused on in the classroom as well as a musical recorder performance with Mr. Katchur! 

We also would like to send a special thank you and message of appreciation to our School Council for organizing a delicious IHOP Fun Lunch last week! We also thank our families for supporting Fun Lunches as these are fundraisers that support our school in a variety of ways, including special treats on Sports Day and the Grade 6 Farewell in June.

Fun Lunch 

Our next fun lunch will be on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, for Little Caesar's. Orders must be submitted by Thursday, May 7 at 11:59pm. 
To order fun lunch for your child, please log in or create an account at: www.healthyhunger.ca

Outstanding School Fees 

The 2025-26 school year fees are now due! To prevent your account from going into arrears and being sent out for collection, please login to your MyCBE parent account to review your child's outstanding school fees and make a payment. Alternatively, please visit the school to make a payment with your debit or credit card. Please note that cash and cheques are no longer accepted. Are You Concerned That You Cannot Afford to Pay School Fees? Apply for a Central Fee Waiver! 

No child is ever denied access to an education at the Calgary Board of Education due to their family’s inability to pay. The CBE offers a Central Fee Waiver which is based upon income level and covers the following centrals fees: Yellow School Bus Transportation, Lunch Supervision Service Fee and Student Supplies Fee. Please log in to your MyCBE parent account to complete the 2025-26 Central Fee Waiver Application. More information about the Central Fee Waiver can be located here. 

My 1st Ride Registration is Open 

On May 23 & 24, the CBE and its partners are offering the My 1st Ride bus orientation program. This free event is designed to familiarize students with the experience of taking the yellow bus to and from school. The orientation is aimed at first-time riders and students with special transportation needs. For more information and for registration click here. 

Registration for 2026-27 

Please continue to notify the school if your child will not be attending OSG in the 2026-27 school year. If you have a child that will be 5 years old by December 30, 2026, and you would like them to attend kindergarten in the fall, please register them as soon as possible.
